中原大學以「善用知識造福人群」為教育理念，鼓勵學生用專業服務社會，為台灣土地貢獻心力！開設連續長達16年的「廣告行銷服務課程」於近日舉辦成果發表會，學生跳脫框架開啟學習視野，展現一整年跨領域為苗栗卓蘭推廣農業觀光、為大海社區保留傳承特殊歷史設計網站、為都市改革非營利組織拍攝形象廣告、為脊髓損傷傷友製作公益關懷影片等行銷推廣服務。秉持以人為本初衷，中原學生用堅強的實力，在各個需要被關懷的議題善盡心力。 由7位教師共同指導，結合企管系行銷專業與商業設計系的創意活力，協助非營利組織與社會企業解決問題。連續4年與大學社會責任計畫結合，為苗栗卓蘭與桃園大海社區經營注入活水。「卓然果園」延續過去學長姐的經驗，與卓蘭鎮公所合作打造「不凡休息站」，透過在地美食市集、木棧道休息設施、文化導覽及電影院等規劃呈現卓蘭與白布帆國小特色，吸引登山客與過路客休憩時，從中認識當地文化，讓卓蘭的主題定位更鮮明。 中原學生結合卓蘭美食、文化、人文特色打造「不凡休息站」，希望吸引更多人前來 「大海小組」則多次造訪與居民討論溝通社區需求，以黑貓中隊、大海社區及空軍基地三者關聯為意象發想，架設了名為「貓在海上飛」的網站。完整且系統化的保留、紀錄大海社區特殊歷史意義與對台灣軍事的重要性，學生運用網路虛擬性與方便性，創造更多元的互動體驗及資源不受地域限制的使用，讓代代都與家鄉有深厚的連結。 中原學生多次討論測試成功架設網站，完整紀錄大海社區歷史背景與軍事的重要 商設三蔡侑庭表示，網站風格採復古懷舊設計，運用或粗或細的線條、不飽和的色彩，將真實的照片搭配歷史故事呈現，目標族群為對軍事及台灣歷史有興趣的人，未來「線上故事館」將以歷史展覽、紀錄片館藏、圖文攝影與影音等多元方式，讓故事館文化保存的氛圍引起更多民眾的關注。指導老師商設系侯君緯提到，企劃過程雖經歷多次考驗，但學生卯足全力把所學的專業完整呈現，架設簡明吸睛、結構穩定的網站，深得人心的故事表達出對土地濃厚記憶及情感，值得肯定。 網站經歷多次測試並修正上線 網站「貓在海上飛」首頁圖 「Ours都市改革」小組考量台灣高房價現況，以創新的「我們的城市、我們的成就」為概念拍攝系列廣告，積極推廣並傳達合作住宅穩定、友善及可負擔性的好處，提供年輕人在租房與買房之外的第三種居住選擇。企管三曾筠晴表示：「OURs專業者都市改革組織推動許多知名的法案修法、議題倡議及社會關懷，為弱勢社區居民發聲、扮演溝通協調的平台。這次用賣火柴女孩許願有個溫暖的家為故事包裝，藉此增加劇情吸引力並兼具媒體行銷，提升民眾對居住議題的關心及權益，以及增加組織曝光知名度。」 中原「Ours都市改革」以創新概念拍攝系列廣告，行銷推廣合作住宅的好處 而首次合作的「主動廚房」是為脊髓損傷的傷友量身打造工作機會的社會企業，創辦人陳守實為更友善的環境而努力，他主張「以購買代替捐款」，讓傷友們靠自己的力量改善生活，重拾自信和尊嚴。團隊在實際探訪傷友的生活現況，以「你是點亮我生命的光」精心製作溫暖形象的影片。用主動廚房的美食向大眾喊話，產品皆使用全天然材料，而每筆訂單都是對傷友的支持與幫助；另支影片透過認識脊髓損傷，讓大眾能夠體會並同理他們。企管系賴愉薔提到，藉由感人的故事，開啟家中爐火的同時，也點亮一群需要幫助的人生，讓民眾了解支持購買的背後意義，期待對組織的觸及率及社會關注有所幫助。 中原學生實地探訪脊髓損傷傷友，交流瞭解生活環境的辛苦 中原學生集思廣益為主動廚房拍攝公益形象影片，關懷傷友並提高社會關注力 課程指導老師企管系丁姵元欣慰表示，考量服務延續性效果，有兩組接續前三屆學長姐的經驗，善用既有場域的優勢，除了對在地有更充份的瞭解，對創造地方品牌也能更活化及優化。看到學生舟車勞頓往返苗栗與花蓮，不斷滾動式調整企劃及執行方式，為的就是找出符合業主需求和定位。面對一波波疫情的襲擊，危機處理更展現團隊的團結與韌性，相信過程終究會是大家茁壯的養分。
馬來西亞 中原大學聯手英國牛津布魯克斯大學 培育國際設計人才

馬來西亞 用永續看臺灣 中原建築系「不見城市的看」 敍述南崁故事
在桃園市與蘆竹南崁交界、距離中正藝文特區不到2公里，有處擁有埤塘、農田及水圳豐富生態的「都市綠洲」，正面臨都市開發及環境永續的抉擇議題。中原大學師生走入當地觀察環境，藉由故事轉譯土地面臨的問題，並結合當地居民發起的流域行動藝術祭「夏至」展，舉辦為期三個周末「不見城市的看4.0：南崁空間敘事」成果展，用故事與模型提供居民對未來另類的想像。 為了讓一年級學生在基礎設計課程學習創造力、敘事力及感受性，中原大學建築系謝統勝等七位教師帶領65位學生，藉由對真實環境的觀察互動展開為期半年設計專題。有趣的是，為了強化年輕世代的敘事力，學生在期初閱讀義大利作家卡爾維諾作品「看不見的城市」，透過場域踏查寫出三部600字內的微小說，透過文學敘事將環境元素與人文故事連結至實體模型設計。這樣帶領大一學生進入桃園在地場域的實作課程已是連續第四年，也是本次成果展「不見城市的看4.0」名稱發想的由來。 中原師生在前熱炒鐵皮屋舉辦成果展呈現南崁土地故事 中原師生走入南崁當地觀察環境，學習觀察力及詮釋事物的方式 「鋒利銳角是農地上的鐵皮工廠、清透水田好似龍的鱗片，我的作品『龍鱗大地』象徵整塊南崁是隻隱藏的龍，只要鱗片存在、龍就會守護這片土地。」建築系一年級陳彥翰向大家陳述作品意涵，也透露學期中除了老師帶領2次參訪，自己因為對這塊世外桃源的憧憬，更用課餘時間到訪7、8次，把自己沉浸在整個環境與空間裡。 讓同學們印象最深刻的還有學期中的兩次勘查，經歷了雨天及晴天不同樣貌。其中一天的低溫大雨讓大家都泡在水裡，綿延數十公尺的雨衣腳踏車陣、走進雙腳幾乎拔不起來的泥濘田埂，對稚嫩的大一學生來說都是初次體驗。學生沈佳誼表示，大家藉由騎腳踏車的方式認識南崁這塊土地，也在兩次不同天氣的踏查、在地居民導覽看見不同環境面貌，整個課程學到最多就是觀察力的培養，以及分析詮釋事物的方式。 學期中的課程勘查經歷低溫大雨不減同學們學習心 建築系一年級陳彥翰向大家說明作品「龍鱗大地」的意涵 為了讓展覽更貼近當地，中原師生向居民借用閒置的前熱炒鐵皮屋，多次刷洗地板、用符合環境意象的海報布置，再將作品運到場地。指導老師同時也是大學社會責任計畫(USR)共同主持人謝統勝表示，由於疫情影響，原本規劃的校外參訪、實地拍攝、比賽展覽等都被迫更改或取消，不但考驗教師應變能力，學生也充分發揮韌性與創意，用有趣的故事呈現南崁土地。緊接著的課程「小住宅設計」則讓學生規劃未來2050年自己要住的埤塘社區，結合這段時間在當地的觀察研究，以「2050水南崁 好生活」為題，陳述如何在顧及永續發展SDGs目標下，保留城市原有的美好面貌，完整了建築系學生整個學期的學習歷程。 中原建築系大哥哥大姊姊說故事 經歷踏查後的「小住宅設計」專案讓學生規劃2050年埤塘社區 中原大學設計學院USR帶領學生關懷環境與住民，並以專業的觀點為當地尋找特色、對問題提出解方，學生走讀觀察紀錄的同時，也深刻體驗綠捷開發都市計畫帶給周邊農村的衝擊，這也與中原建築系發揮建築人創意、人本與環境觀環兼具的特質不謀而合。

★ 看更多：【2022學士班】聯合分發X DSE/ ALE/ CEE志願選填 7/1~7/20開放 透過海聯會「聯合分發」管道申請臺灣各大學的考生，要在3千多個科系裡選填70個志願，究竟有什麼關鍵？怎樣才能入讀理想的科系？ 關鍵1：依自己的興趣排序 選填志願時，應先根據自己的興趣或心儀的科系，依喜歡程度來排序，這樣便能有機會如願分發到理想科系。 關鍵2：善用海聯會的「系所名額查詢系統」 同學可以善用海聯會的「系所名額查詢系統」，來快速查找各科系在各梯次的名額。由於「聯合分發」一共有5個梯次，而每個梯次的名額都未必一樣，所以一定要看清楚。假如科系所顯示的名額是「0」，可是在選填志願時，該科系卻出現在招生校系清單上，這表示可能有流用名額，若同學有興趣都可以選填。 另外，同學也可透過在「系所名額查詢系統」查詢到的結果，連結到每間大學或每個科系的網站，了解該課程、師資、學分要求和畢業出路等相關資訊，幫助同學排列出最合適的科系志願序。 關鍵3：填滿70個志願 70個志願就表示有70個選擇的機會！萬一所填的70個志願已經沒有可分發的名額，而同學的分發分數達到大學最低錄取標準，就會進行「二次分發」。海聯會會提供尚有名額的科系名單，讓同學可以再填一次志願，辦理「二次分發」。可是，若一開始沒有把70個志願填滿，就沒有第二次分發的機會了。根據海聯會的統計資料顯示，有99.8﹪的同學都可以順利分發到所填志願科系。所以，請同學把70個志願都填滿，來增加錄取機會。 分發程序 讓我們來看看海聯會是如何分發的。首先，海聯會會根據同學的考試成績來計算分發總分。例如，同學在報名時，選擇了用DSC來申請，海聯會便會採計中文、英文、數學和其餘2科最好成績的科目來計算分發總分。並依分發總分來決定分發次序，即分發總分較高的同學會享有優先分發權。再按照分發的順位、同學所填寫的志願排序、以及科系名額數來進行分發。 如下圖的例子，若有3個科系共提供4個名額，現有4個同學選填志願，而每個科系有不同名額數。由於A同學的分發分數最高，所以海聯會會先按A同學的第1志願進行分發，之後看次成績好的B同學。因為甲科系已經沒有餘額，故B同學會分發到第2志願丙科系。再看成績排行第3的C同學，他的第1志願是丙科系，卻被B同學佔據了，所以他會分發到第2志願乙科系。而D同學的第1和第2志願也沒有餘額，所以他會分發到第3志願乙科系，如此類推。 ★ 看更多：【學士班】聯合分發X DSC成績計算知多少
Global Are you an Overseas Chinese Student?
If you are residing overseas and would like to pursue further studies in Taiwan, you can either apply the joint admissions, i.e., individual application or united distribution, organized by the University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students (UECOCS), or the individual recruitment hosted by different universities. For both channels, apart from academic requirements, you will have to meet the eligibility of being an overseas Chinese student and get validated by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, ROC (OCAC). For university’s individual recruitment, you can apply as an international student as well. However, once you have chosen to apply as either of the student statuses, you have to maintain it throughout the whole study. In general, foreign students usually choose to apply as “overseas Chinese students”, because they will entitle to have more benefits and assistance during their study in Taiwan. Overseas Chinese Students Overseas Chinese students refer to students of Chinese descendants residing outside Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Republic of China. Even though they were born outside Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China with other nationalities, as long as they are with Chinese ethnicity, they are considered as overseas Chinese students. Eligibility for application If you were born outside Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China and meet one of the following requirements, as well as stay in Taiwan for no more than 120 days in a calendar year (from 1st January to 31st December), you are eligible to be an overseas Chinese student to pursue further studies in Taiwan. 1. Resided outside Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China since birth and until the time of admission application. 2. Resided outside Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China for more than 6 consecutive years, counting backwards from the application deadline, or 8 years if you are applying for medicine, Chinese medicine or dentistry departments, and have a permanent or long-term overseas residence certificate. Take the admission exercise in 2022 as an example. The following is the calculation of overseas residency requirement set by UECOCS and Ministry of Education, Taiwan, for overseas Chinese students: If you do not meet the 6-year or 8-year overseas residency requirement until 31st August of the same year as the application deadline, you can still submit an application by filling in an affidavit. 6 Benefits of being an overseas Chinese student If you choose to pursue further studies in Taiwan as an overseas Chinese student, you are entitled to have the following 6 benefits: 1. You are entitled to have 70 choices of departments in your priority list when joining the UECOCS’s united distribution, meaning that you will have 70 chances of being allocated a place for study; 2. You are entitled to enjoy the same tuition and miscellaneous fees as local students in Taiwan; 3. You are eligible to apply for the scholarships and financial aids provided by the Taiwan government and the OCAC exclusively for overseas Chinese students; 4. You are entitled to enjoy 50% discount offered by the OCAC for your medical insurance premiums during the first 6 months upon arriving in Taiwan; 5. If you are a disadvantaged student and have the low-income certificate issued by recognized parties, you are entitled to receive the OCAC’s subsidy, which is 30% of your national health insurance premiums; 6. Global How to apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)?
To read more: Entry Visa (Resident Visa) for Overseas Chinese Students As mentioned in the article above, if you are an overseas Chinese student, a resident visa can allow you to enter Taiwan. You must apply for an ARC, which serves as an identification card for you to stay in Taiwan. Application should be made through the "Students Online Application System” of the National Immigration Agency within 15 days after arriving in Taiwan. Two pathways to apply for an ARC After being admitted by a Taiwanese university or college, apart from receiving a “notification of admission” or “admission permit”, you will receive a “notification for new students” sent by the admitting university or college, and you will be requested to complete the registration process within a certain period of time. If your date of entry falls into the university registration period, you can go to the university to complete the registration first, and then go online to apply for an ARC. This ARC will be in the form of an IC card with 1- year validity. However, if you enter Taiwan far before the registration period, you will need to apply for an ARC before completing the registration process. Yet, this ARC is an electronic one and only valid for 6 months. You will need to extend your ARC and replace it with an ARC IC card. ARC collection – For those who have not yet completed university registration: a. Download the electronic ARC (valid for 6 months); b. Apply for ARC extension after completing school enrollment but before the electronic ARC expires. For those who have completed university registration: Download the payment receipt; and collect the ARC ID card at the chosen National Immigration Agency service counter with the payment receipt 3 days after approval. Extension or Reissuance of ARC If an electronic ARC is granted, you will need to extend your ARC and replace it with an ARC IC card after completing school registration. Or if you need to extend your stay due to academic requirements, or have any changes in your personal information, e.g. change in residential address or attending school, or in case of loss or damage, you are required to extend or re-issue your ARC. In any cases, the extension should be made within 30 days before your current ARC expires, or within 15 days if you have any updates in your personal information or need to re-issue your ARC. Procedure 1. Go to the "Students Online Application System” of the National Immigration Agency and fill in the required information. 2. Scan the required documents as shown below and upload to the application system. 3. The reviewing period is normally 5 working days. Once the application is approved, settle the application fee of NTD500 online (for extension or reissuance due to damage or loss, or change in Chinese name, date of birth, sex or photo) or at any convenience store. Information updates such as change in residential address or attending school is free of charge. 4. Download the payment receipt and collect the new ARC at the chosen National Immigration Agency service center 3 days after approval. You will need to present the payment receipt and return the old ARC. ★ To note： If you fail to apply for an ARC within 15 days after arriving in Taiwan, or fail to update your personal information like change of residential address or attending school, you may be posed to a fine of NTD2,000 – 10,000. Global Entry Visa (Resident Visa) for Overseas Chinese Students
If you are an overseas Chinese student, and got admitted in any full-time degree programs in Taiwanese universities or colleges, you will need to obtain a “Resident Visa” before entering Taiwan. Resident Visa There is no "Student Visa" in Taiwan, instead, there is "Resident Visa" and "Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)". If you are holding a non-Taiwanese passport, the resident visa will allow you to enter Taiwan, while the ARC will allow you to stay in Taiwan to undertake college study. Here is the procedure for obtaining a resident visa after being admitted by a Taiwanese university or college: After you have received the notification of admission or an admission permit from a Taiwanese university or college, you need to apply for a resident visa at the nearest ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad before entering Taiwan. In general, a resident visa is valid for 3 months, and is usually used for single entry only. The normal processing time is 3 days. If you have already got an ARC, or a Taiwanese identity card or passport, then you do not need to apply for a resident visa. Required documents 1. Application form – To be filled online and printed out; make sure the bar code is also printed. 2. Two passport-size color photos – With a white background and taken within past 6 months. 3. Passport (original and photocopy) – Valid for 6 months with blank pages. 4. Health certificate – Issued within 3 months by any designated hospital in Taiwan or authorized overseas hospital. Health certificate issued by authorized overseas hospitals should be authenticated by an ROC overseas mission. You may refer to the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control for the health checkup items required. 5. Diploma and transcript of your highest academic credentials (original and photocopy) – For the certificates that are issued using languages other than Chinese and English, they must be attached with a Chinese or English translation verified by the ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad. 6. Proof of financial support (original and photocopy) – It can be a bank statement of you own bank account, or your parents’ bank account within the last 3 months. For the latter, you will need to provide copies of your birth certificate and your parents’ identity cards. 7. Other documents as requested. For those admitted through the Ministry of Education (MoE) or the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students (UECOCS) 8. If you are an overseas Chinese student and have participated in the joint admissions organized by the University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students (UECOCS) in order to pursue further studies in Taiwan, no matter whether it is “individual application” or “united distribution”, you will receive a "Notification of Admission” after being admitted. What is it? What it is used for? 3 Purposes of Notification of Admission "Notification of Admission” is the official letter issued by UECOCS to overseas Chinese students who have been admitted by Taiwanese universities or colleges through joint admissions. You will be informed to collect it at the ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad, or the offices of Overseas Community Affairs Council, ROC (OCAC) in your country that received your application. In brief, the “Notification of Admission” has the following three major purposes: 1. For university registration In general, the new school year usually starts in September. The admitting university will normally notify you by phone, email or letter of the relevant information about the entry and registration of new students. You are required to enter Taiwan within the specified time, and bring the "Notification of Admission" to the admitting university to complete the registration procedures before the start of the semester. You may also take the initiative to contact the admitting university for the registration information if necessary. 2. For the application of Resident Visa Resident Visa is the single-permit entry visa for degree-pursuing overseas Chinese students to enter Taiwan.
